Subject: Consultation on Proposed Admissions Policy for 2027–2028

Rothley Church of England Academy is conducting a consultation on the proposed admissions policy for the academic year 2027–2028. In line with statutory requirements, we are seeking the views of parents, staff, local authorities, and other stakeholders before finalising the policy.

Please note that our admissions policy for 2027–2028 contains no changes. Please see attached.

Your insights and feedback are incredibly valuable to us as we work to ensure that our policy is fair, transparent, and meets the needs of our community. A copy of the proposed admissions policy is attached for your review.

Consultation Period:
The consultation will run from 8 December 2025 - 25 January 2026.

Apply for a School Place

The link above will take you to Leicestershire County Council's website where you can apply for your child's place at the school for August 2025. The deadline for applications is 15th January 2025.

Mid-Year Transfers

Rothley C of E Academy has engaged the services of the LA to co-ordinate mid-term applications. The LA’s online systems operates 24/7, and throughout school holidays If Rothley C of E  Academy has a space, the LA will offer the place. If there are more applications than places, the Admissions Committee will rank the applications in accordance with the school’s admissions criteria and inform the LA, who in turn will inform parents of outcomes.

 Admissions Appeal Process
