For another year, the children at Rothley CofE Academy have performed fantastically well at all assessment points throughout the school.
At Foundation Stage 78% of the children achieved good level of development (national 2019= 72%).
At Year 1 93% of children passed the phonics screening - which is well above the national 2019 rate of 82%
At Key Stage One: 87% achieved the expected standard for Reading (national 2019 75%) with 43% achieving the greater depth standard (national 2019 25%). 87% achieved the expected standard for Writing (national 2019 69%) with 25% achieving the greater depth standard (national 2019 15%). 87% achieved the expected standard for Reading (national 2019 76%) with 30% achieving the greater depth standard (national 2019 22%).
At Key Stage Two: 88% achieved the expected standard for Reading (national 2019 73%) with 33% achieving a high score (national 2019 27%). 93% achieved the expected standard for Writing (national 2019 78%) with 37% achieving the greater depth standard (national 2019 20%). 95% achieved the expected standard for Maths (national 2019 79%) with 44% a high score (national 2019 27%). 86% achieved the expected standard for Grammar Punctuation and Spelling (national 2019 78%) with 45% achieving a high score (national 2019 36%).
At Key Stage Two: the percentage of children achieving the expected standard in all 3 areas (reading, writing and maths) was 88% (national 2019 - 65%) and 19% achieving greater depth/high score in all 3 areas (national 2019 11%)
These fantastic results are all down to the hard work by everyone involved from the children themselves with their fantastic attitude to everything they do; the parents and family members who support the children at home with homework, reading and anything else; and the staff at Rothley, with their commitment and dedication to their role in the school
