Online Safety

Online safety is a crucial part of keeping children safe at Rothley CE Academy. We have extensive security measures in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any online safety incidents are recorded and managed. Online safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online. We are lucky to be subscribed to National Online Safety (NOS), who provide us with a wealth of resources to help us teach online safety effectively. Additionally, they provide a range of 'guides' for parents on a range of online safety topics.

We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the online safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online. Please take the time to utilise the links and downloads available on this page. If you have any concerns regarding online safety, please make an appointment with the office to speak to Mr. Bray.
