Rothley Church of England Academy is a large single Academy which is judged Good by Ofsted. Currently, we have over 450 pupils which will grow to 630 pupils in the near future. This is an exciting time to join our school as we will take ownership of our new extension block of 6 classrooms, hall and offices at Easter.
Our extensive grounds include a large separate football field and a new all-weather Multi Use Games Area. An increase of land with the new extension gives us great opportunities to provide new outdoor learning activities for all the children.
We are looking to appoint a reliable, pro-active and organised Site Manager who is able to use their own initiative, but also take direction from the School Business Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Head Teacher. Ideally you will have worked in a similar role, maintaining school premises and grounds, and be able to work as part of a team and with outside contractors. An experience in a trade, for example plumbing or carpentry is welcomed.
The role includes key holder duties, school security, maintenance, health and safety, compliance, COSHH, routine fire and alarm testing as well as keeping accurate records.
You will need to be able to understand your roles and responsibilities and carry out duties as detailed in the job description
This is a full-time position for 37 hours a week. There is an expectation for you to work during some of the school holidays.
