Rothley Church of England Primary (Academy)

"Working together to achieve value and recognise the strengths of all"

Choir

Choir have weekly rehearsals after school on Thursday from 3.15 - 4pm led by Miss Godfrey.

It is completely free, great fun and open to all of Key Stage 2! Throughout the year we work towards numerous performances which often include De Montfort Hall, The Curve, local community functions, parent shows and school performances.

We have a fantastically vibrant and enthusiastic choir, they sound great!

"An Evening of Uplifting Music!"

The children did a fantastic job performing as part of "An Evening of Uplifting Music" along with choirs from the local community. They got the chance to perform a song which had previously been written by children from the school and did a superb job of singing 'Fill It Up' alongside Rothley Gospel Choir.

Kaine Gospel Choir @ Curve

Year 4, 5 and 6 have been working with Kaine Gospel Choir, polishing up their singing and performance skills for a big concert at The Curve.

Choir feedback from parents:

I felt our choir was excellent they looked very smart, and performed like professionals.

The school should be very proud of them!  We are very proud!

To perform at the Curve - such an amazing opportunity!  An experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.

My son has enjoyed working with the choir and as a parent it was lovely to to see the coming together of so many young, enthusiastic voices.

Very special thanks to all teachers involved - their dedicated approach is appreciated.
